I did not finish it.
Extremely hot to the point of being inedible. Even after 25 minutes the sausage was still hard, as was some of the pasta. Could not detect the onions or peppers. I cannot recommend it. The bar is so high now for camp meals.
Michael, I am replying to this review just as I did to your other review for Buffalo Pasta. Strange that in the past 14 years of business there has been only two negative reviews and here you you are with two now. Anyway, this is my most popular and best selling meal. This sells 2 to 1 over every other meal I have except for the North African Stew. All my meals are made with the exact same products and bands in the exact same quantities. In the past, some people have emailed me that it is not hot enough and my reply is that I don't want to overdo the heat and that they can add some crushed or cayenne pepper ion they want more heat. As for the onions or peppers, each batch which makes four meals has 4 large onions and four bell peppers, so I can't understand how you can make that statement. As far as the sausage being hard after 25 minutes, hard to understand unless you added water to the pouch and did not wrap the pouch in a cozy or a Snuggie to keep it hot. Finally, YES The bar is now high for back[acking meals. I was the first to offer people a choice besides Mountain House or Inertia meals and on many of the online forums that discuss dehydrated or freeze dry meals, mine and backpackers pantry are far and away considered the very best.
